The way it ended up on my download was tracks 1-7 had a pretty distracting clicking and level jumping around. Track 8 was very cool and did not have the peculiar clicking etc.

It has come to my attention that the unreleased studio jam here described as a James Gang outtake is really a track called "Naked Edge" by Tommy's band Energy! It seems that occasionally these bootlegs get put together by people who either have wrong information or they may just be trying to make you think it's something new when it really is not. In a similar situation, the boot "Gone All Along Jimi's Way" capitalizes on the rumors of Tommy playing with Fleetwood Mac by stirring in what is actually from a Fleetwood Mac boot (Please Stand Up) and calling it Tommy Bolin. It even sounds like it could be Tommy if you just take everything you read on a bootleg at face value, but with so many recordings floating around it's wise to take the credits with a grain of salt and when in doubt do some research.
