I believe that this is 1964: no matter, this is one of the greatest live sets ever

...it is from 1964 for sure as well as a legit release from Bear Family. Rhino also did a stateside issue. I think both are out of print though. Anyway...

This show is considered by many (myself included) to be the greatest live album of all time. Jerry Lee just beats the living shit out of his piano from the beginning and does not stop. For the record his back up band on this release is the Nashville Teens, a UK combo that had a hit in the states with "Tobacco Road".

All in all A MUST HAVE!!

The Killer is a must have for any true rock and roll fan.
Awesome!

Very good, easy rider.
Can't wait to hear the killer live early.

Is this at the famous Star Club in Germany where the young Beatles played?
In Hamburg? Any way of finding the exact date in 1964?

And who were The Nashville Teens?

So many questions, so long ago.

Thanks, easy rider.

Hey Carollyner,

This was indeed recorded in Hamburg. Go to this link to find out the complete story on this recording:

Again, I cannot stress enough the complete rocking-ness of this set. Get it, you won't be sorry...
