In my honest opinion Jesse Johnson from the group Morris Day & The Time is one of music's most underrated guitar players no questions asked!!! if you get a chance check his bio out and pick up his album "Bare My Naked Soul" and you can be the judge. It hard find any of Jesse's bootlegs but lucky I have this one. Anyway ENJOY IT TO THE MAX!!!

Great!! Can't wait to hear it. I have read a lot about him but have never had the opportunity apart from his work with the Time - and its hard to tell who is doing what on the studio albums...
Thanks for some new tunes, Madfunk. I have been jamming to tha funk you posted for the last few months...its infectious!
your descriptions here made me google around and i grabbed the 85 'revue' and the 86 'shockadelica' and upon listening i was reminded strongly of prince's first album where he was pretty much a strict pop-soul guy, nice songs and singing, but 'nice'?
also had that dated as hell bass-heavy handclap samples as percussion through the choruses in some songs. my description of this trick probably sucks, but you'd know them if you heard them.
now a 1994 live date from this guy, hopefully stripped back to the elements...THAT would really be something to hear....i'll keep looking, but a re-up would be great.
thanks in advance.
There's video of this show that I haven't been able to get my hands on...I was present at this show, and spoke with Jesse personally at a later date (at a Collector's Show) about the video. He actually offered me a digital copy, but I never got to speak with him about it again...
