Not sure of the actual dates but a fantastic solo set with interviews thrown in as well.It took me a lot of searching to find this so please just hit the thanks button if you like it because if enough people like it I will keep searching for more J.C..I have stuck an extra file in with 2 songs from a different set with his full band, quality not as good on these but still good. The extras willfit on the same CD as the main download but keeping them separate gives you the choice.

4.Saddle up my pony
5.Wolf among the lambs
6.When the levee breaks
7.Wolf among the lambs/Interview

Good grief, I never thought I'd EVER see a bootleg by this guy! Thanks for uploading this one.
I saw him supporting Buddy Guy at Manchester's Free Trade Hall about 15 years ago & he totally blew me away with the sound he got out of his acoustic guitar. Definitely one of the finest support acts I've ever seen. I tracked down his 'One Believer' album after the gig, but never managed to find anything else by him. Such a shame he died shortly afterwards.
I've got about 3 live tracks that Radio 1 broadcast in 1993 & I'll upload these here sometime.

I would be very grateful if you could upload the tracks you have because I saw him at the London Blues festival that was broadcast so they might be the gig I was at.

The gig was from the Milton Keynes Bowl, July 1993 I think as part of Radio 1's American Music Festival. I need to find the tape & get it on the p.c. but I think I know where it is so I should get it done today. I'll upload it in here in wav files.

Hello,
First of all a big thanx for the upload.

Some additional info about the tracks :

All the tracks on CD 1 were recorded by a Dutch Radio Show called
"2 Meter Sessions" broadcasted by the VARA.(Dutch Radio)
The first Session took place in 1991, the second in 1993.

Both were recorded at the NOB Studio in Hilversum. Not Amsterdam.
Here are all details :

Campbell, John Session # 1
Recording: Tuesday 26 november 1991

Recording place: NOB radiostudio

SetList:

Broken Spell (= the unknown Song)
Person to person (Elmore James)
Angel of Sorrow
Devil in my closet
World of Trouble

Campbell, John Session # 2
Recording: Saturday 23 januari 1993

Recording place: NOB radiostudio

SetList:

Wolf among the lambs
Saddle up my pony
Ain't afraid of midnight
Where the level breaks

This was the original running order of the songs.

It's funny how the two missing acoustic recordings are replaced by two live versions. Does anybody have an explanation ???

Anyway, I hope this info will help !

All The Best,
Armaju
