Hi Y'all:
The Kurgan rides into town to deliver another
Journey present!
As you may have already read, the weather in Hollywood was terrible on Friday. Pouring rain in places, and drizzling during the first part of the Journey show. As a result, I lost about four songs. It seems the weather was crapping out my gear. The first couple of songs, and, very unfortunately, Separate Ways, did not record well and I had to cut them out.
There are some audio problems in a couple of spots, notably in the beginning of Wheel In The Sky, but overall, what is left came out okay. It was a great night, and Jeff even hit the high part in the middle of Wheel In The Sky! Also, Jeff got I'll Be Alright Without You into the set, and it is beautiful!
I wasn't about to let the rain make the recording a complete loss. Here is what came out alright:
Wheel In The Sky
Keep On Runnin'
Edge Of The Blade
I'll Be Alright Without You (awesome!)
Chain Reaction
Lights
Piano Solo
Open Arms (Deen)
Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'
Escape
Dead Or Alive
Faithfully (Deen)
Don't Stop Believin'
Any Way You Want It
Enjoy! Sorry some is missing, but I stuck through the rain to get most of it.
GQDaddy- I welcome more of your artwork mastery! There are some shots of the show on melodicrock.com, and I've entitled the show "Live At The Hollywood Bowl." Due to the weather troubles, it'll all fit on one cd!
