Modern Times Rock'n'roll, Son And Daughter. Bits and pieces According to several sources, the concert was interrupted in the middle of 'Liar' due to a power cut. The available bootleg recording doesn't prove that, though. Freddie also confused words in Modern Times Rock'n'roll. Each artist got from ten to twenty minutes for their show; no playback or soundcheck were allowed. Queen hesitated because playing without a soundcheck is always a risk. But then they accepted the rules and their 20 minutes of fame came on at 18:44 GMT. Queen were on top form and not only according to Bob Geldof and Elton John, they stole the show. They played only the intro to BoRhap (the opera part couldn't be played from the tape as playback was forbidden & there wasn't enough time anyway). Instead of the opera part, Radio Ga Ga followed. We Will Rock You was reduced to the first verse (and the final guitar solo) only. Is This The World We Created was performed by Freddie and Brian only later in the evening. Setlist 01. Bohemian Rhapsody (intro) 02. Radio Ga Ga 03. Hammer To Fall 04. Crazy Little Thing Called Love 05. We Will Rock You (first verse + finale only) 06. We Are The Champions 07. Is This The World We Created? (Freddie + Brian only) 08. Do They Know It's Christmas? (All Star finale with Freddie and Brian) Support band none or unknown Audio recording 25:52 min. | excellent quality Video recording 21 minutes. Broadcasted on TV (+ soundcheck on 12.7.1985) Line-up Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano, electric guitar), Brian May (electric guitar, backing vocals), Roger Taylor (drums, backing vocals), John Deacon (bass guitar), Spike Edney (keyboards, electric guitar) Code:

Stolen (?) from TV archives. Part was released officially. Bits and pieces Freddie wore fake boobs for 'I Want To Break Free' and although the fans didn't mind, the British press made a huge fuss about it and wrote that the audience felt offended because 'I Want To Break Free' was a symbol of a fight for freedom. The existing bootleg video proves the contrary. Freddie also forgot some words during 'It's A Hard Life' and had to improvise a bit. Story yes Line-up Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano, electric guitar), Brian May (electric guitar, backing vocals, acoustic guitar), Roger Taylor (drums, backing vocals), John Deacon (bass guitar, electric guitar), Spike Edney (keyboards, piano, electric guitar, backing vocals) Code:

Please note this well known bootleg video is most likely a compilation of all three Paris concerts. The BBC crew packed their cameras before the second encore, that's why Seven Seas Of Rhye and See What A Fool I've Been are not available on video. Bits and pieces Both Freddie and Brian didn't feel very well that night but this concert (broadcasted on the 'Old Grey Whistle Test' on BBC) has become one of their finest live performances EVER. Queen had been playing the club/college circuit in and around London for almost two years when the band used a chance opportunity to test out De Lane Lea Studios' new recording facilities to put together a fairly polished demo tape of five songs: "Keep Yourself Alive", "The Night Comes Down", "Great King Rat", "Jesus" and "Liar". Despite its quality, no record company would take them on, except for a low bid from Chrysalis Records, which they used to try to entice other companies. 01 Keep Yourself Alive 02 The Night Comes Down 03 Great King Rat 04 Jesus 05 Liar Code:

Great share!
But - the show signed as Dec.1st 1975 at the Hammy is actually the concert from the christmas eve - the show called Boston `74 is actually Rainbow Theatre London 31.3.1974 and - the Montreal show from 1978 is incomplete. There are 5 songs missing but written on the file-info. Thatīs why I give it just an A instead of A++ regards W. Last edited by Double-U; 12-19-2007 at 01:26 AM. |

You have a very impressive Queen collection. Thanks for sharing it.
The Houston 11/12/77 link for Part 2 on Rapidshare doesn't work. Is there any way someone could upload that part again if you have it ![]() Thanks... Brian |
