i probably should have mentioned that NPR in chicago airs 'chuck schaden's old time radio show' here for like 5 hours every saturday afternoon.
bob hope, jack benny, milton berle, chollie mccarthy.....plus mystery serials.
it's exactly these types of shows that CS collected TONS of, which i am fortunate to hear every saturday (if i'm not playing music) at my office while i work.
IS there some super-memorable highlight maybe?
how long is the piece?

Sounds like it's not the Marx Brothers speaking here!
THis is coming from the "Flywheel, Shyster & Flywheel" series. It's a selection of recovered scripts from this 1930s Marx Brothers radio show... recreated in 1990.
More info at...
http://www.dirkmaggs.dswilliams.co.u...rk%20maggs.htm
Groucho Marx character is played by Michael Roberts.
Chico Marx character is played by Frank Lazarus.
Next time, please tell us if it's the real Marx Bros or a copy, it will save me time.

i understand it's hard to keep track.
what city were you living in when you recorded those shows?
yeah, i'm spoiled by those 4-5 hour full afternoon broadcasts on npr:

Chuck Schaden's Those Were the Days
Saturday, 1 p.m.
WDCB is very pleased to present Chuck Schaden's “Those Were the Days,” a program that has played a prominent role in Chicago’s radio history for more than 35 years. Drawing from his vast library of material each Saturday, Chuck presents old-time radio classics and music.
it's changed stations a couple of times, but i'm able to get my fill really easily.
jack benny and phil silvers are probably my favorites.

daoRyebbA, I know you're doing your very best to share what you have about the Marx Brothers. A little info regarding the upload would be greatly appreciated next time. Imagine an upload in this forum mentioning the Stones, Robin Trower, Prince or who else and discovering it's not the Stones, the Stones, Robin Trower, Prince or who else but someone else impersonating/covering them, it wouldn't be a grin but a revolution here, you can be sure of this. Call me a fool if you wish but we all have this strange tendency to believe what we read.
Also I know the "I bet your life" series is about the real Marx Bros and the Boxcars711 blog is absolutley worth the visit.

Thanks for your uploads, they're appreciated, and please one word or two about them would help in the future.
