I was at this concert. It was one of the last shows at the old Chicago Stadium, before being torn down and the United Center opening. The place was really rocking that night, as it was Jeff Ament's b-day. The crowd sang Happy Birthday, the band brought out a cake. A food fight started onstage with cake and frosting all over the place. It was hilarious watching the band finish the show while slipping and sliding around the entire stage.

I agree, this is the best era for them in my opinion too. Things started to slip a little right around Vitology for me. Don't get me wrong, there have been some good cds from them since, but few and far between. Ten is on my top 10 list of all-time kick ass recordings. There is not one bad song on the entire disc. Glad you liked the boot, got another Chicago show from 3 days later to post after I finish uploading the files to Rapidshare.

I was at this show, and I have to say this was the BEST concert I was ever at!!!! I really miss dave behind the drums.

I was really cool when Eddie proved he was from chicago by singing the Empire Carpet them song, and Jeff was wearing bulls gear, along with Scottie Pippen shoes that he was wearing during the Alstar game. Also towards the end of the show, Eddie explained how they were tearing Chicago Stadium down (at that really got to me, because i saw countless Blackhawk and Bulls games in that building) but he started destroying the stage and throwing pieces of it into the crowd.

The Frogs opened, followed by Urge overkill, and Eddie came out in a Silver Robe and sang a song with the frogs because they were getting booed so bad (as they always did). During the concert Eddie told us that if your mind was free, you would like the frogs (I guess my mind was not free!!!!

Anyway, thanks for this, it brings back some great memories.
