I have read all your previous posts, it was just that you seemed impatient. Getting onto the mailing lists with these people is a privilege, it took me 2 years to be accepted by Sabotage. It will be here eventually & I guarantee I will make a cutom back cover for us that will be spreading it over 4 discs and putting it on this site 4 every 1

you guys aren't missing much. first show had too many sound problems to enjoy. thrid show was a sleeper...the best show is already out there...the Conga Room. on a side note, I just met one of the owners of the Conga Room...so now I'll never have a problem getting in.

But how do you get in contact with them to even try to get onto the mailing list?

When you could still get away with selling boots on eBay, a guy I brought from regularly admitted he was involved with Sabotage & added me as a regular customer, then just after "Computers & Drums" arrived through my door I received an email stating a new email address for future orders would be distributed by snail mail in the coming months & that the old address would no longer be used, I never did get the new email address come through & no invoice for my last boot "Purple Finale" (which wasn't even a Sabotage release).
Never found out what happened to either of them, so I now have to wait for people who do know the booters to upload them to sites like this

I have to say i was *surprised* at the speed to which Eye Records said they could do a full production cycle to distribution on this boot. To me it seemed the audio was being dumped from a DAT onto PC and transfered on to France (Oops...my bad). But the central point is, depending on security more sources might exist and you don't always take the first one on offer!
Unless you're just into making a quick buck, you wait and listen to everything, make an assement what sounds best. Lemme given you an example, the Celly 2002 recordings had from 1-3 sources for each show. The June 25th show, primary recording was great....but certain sections were muffled or big gaps just missing!, guy gets bumped and the record button stops etc.
So, you use another source to fill in the gaps, et al!.....anyways i'm not that arsed as i heard that mp3 of Large Room...meh, overhyped much?....seriously, there was no "buzz" listening to the song...maybe it's because of how he arranged the song or the WEAK ass audience....were they all asleep????
Sounded like most had no clue what the hell he was playing, if i was there i would have fell on the floor curled in a bawl wailing like a demented fanboy...."large room...large room!" :-)
What we're seeing here with "fans" is A-TYPICAL of what happens when the whole Free Music thing comes into play, people now EXPECT shit for free and have the audacity to demand it!
LOL!....but fair play, it's great promo for the labels and will increase demand and interest...maybe that was the whole point?, but i'm sure someone will upp the audio sooner rather then later. but am i arsed and sweatin' bullets waiting for it??....hell no!
The latest Jenna Haze video holds more interest for me then Prince :-)

Please dont take my last quote the wrong way .. I appriciate the free music campaign. You were right Richard ..they were just sitting there when he played large room .. I would have been running around in circles .. foaming at the mouth ..that is like prince playing Oldfriends4sale live for the first time EVER .. that day i will scatch it off of my bucket list .. oh nice guitar solo at the end ......

Isn't that exactly what Eye does all the time??
I've seen more rips from free fanreleases than original material from these guys.

^ times have changed, bootleggers have blogs and Twitter.....LOL!!
Maybe i'm just projecting my own cynical nature and attitude toward the whole Prince scene...but it's not like it used to be. Whether that is because of the advances of the net and superfast download speeds. But the "community" seems very fragmented, i know i'm going OT...but the posts and fighting above just remind me of the negatives that have creeped in over the last several years.
Even boots, there used to be a regular release schedule, fans were geniunely excited...people paid for them, Sab for example would press 1000 units of a boot and sell them, it was viable for them and other labels like Moonraker/TB to pay for material, exclusives, outtakes, soundboards etc.
People have alot of great shit, we haven't even BEGUN to touch what exists!...but they guys who have it want to be paid, but now it's all "free" this and that....so those guys hoard. Sure from time to time you gets gems and new stuff, but it's rare and pales into comparison to what exists.
It's lovely too see releases such as that 2001 soundboard, but man....there are tons of Paisley Park soundboards which NO ONE has heard, tracklists that would blow people away. I like this site and i like the fact people share but i do miss the old days :-(

First, I appreciate that someone like you, Richard, write on this forum, it's very interesting to know your point of view.
The question is : is there any live concert that has been taped with soundboard quality and which isn't on the internet because of his cost and the free sharing ?? I mean it cost money to get a soundboard recording, to pay it or whatever and to do a nice artwork.

I used to buy every bootleg from prince in the old days, even pre-sabotage. Been a while since I bought one to be honest, I would like, to but damn, it seems like now, they release everything Prince makes, and a week later there is a even better source. Also I can't afford them all. It's nice to take them from the Net and give them a listen, and if I like them I buy them. I also take prince boots from the net that I already have original, but that's because I am super lazy and don't want to rip all of the cds I have, lol.
