I went to the 10/9 it was my 18th b-day. Lost my job for going to the show.
I remember how much anger people had toward Prince that day.
what a great show thou.
I am having touble with covers has well. Any help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for sharing this!
Interesting to hear Prince trying to cater to this public by singing in a lower register.
IIRC, this was the first gig for then-newbie Mark Brown (bass).
I think it was him who stated that the lyric "jack you off" might have been misunderstood, hence the 'boo's and thrown items thereafter.

Classic quote from the guy in the audience (the taper?):
"I think one more song from this band and that's enough"
