COMMENT
Usually I'm no fan of remix bootlegs. I tend to find them pretty pathetic, and very repetitive. With the exception of one or two releases - I'd lump them in the 'nice to have, but I'll never listen to it' category. This here, however is an excellent release. Sure, there are some repetitive ones, and I can take or leave a few of them - but they are FAR out numbered by the sheer quality of the others. 'Sexy Kiss Machine' is an inspired remix fusing James Brown and Prince. The result is a non-stop funkfest which goes on and on - it's amazingly good. 'The War' has been mixed in with some spoken passages from 'The War Of The Worlds', and both complement each other perfectly; resulting in a dark, haunting (and kinda scary) track. My favourite two tracks though are the remix of 'U Got The Look' (imagine the 12" official remix on acid), and the closing 'The Christ Remastered', which is astoundingly good in it's simplicity - VERY similar to 'Sign O' The Times', and features one of Prince's speeches from the 1998 tour (sounds like Utrecht). All in all and excellent release which I'll come back to time and time again to listen to. Heads up to whomever is responsible.
