COMMENT

An interesting release from Sabotage containing an intriguing mix of TV broadcasts and officially released material (both downloadable and on CD) spanning nearly 6 years of Prince's career. The majority of the 2001 - 2004 broadcasts are already heavily circulating on fan released CDR, so to have it on a pressed disc with artwork IS a nice addition. However to throw the NPGMC downloads into the collection just cheapens the disc and (again) walks the fine line between bootlegging and counterfeiting. Anyways - content wise there are some gems here including a curious CNBC report where Prince is trying to coax the interviewer to sing some of his tracks while he plays acoustic guitar...to no avail. Sabotage seem to have made a fuck-up with the booklet and the track-listing in the booklet doesn't correspond to the content on the disc. I'm not hating on this release, it's an excellent document of Prince's recent TV appearances in perfect broadcast quality - in fact I will listen to it time and time again - I just wish they had left off the officially available tracks.

track 6 and 7 on disc 1 "npg in this funky house" and "all the critics love u in paris" kinda sound like their tempo is off (too slow). this isn't normal, is it? can you repost it at regular tempo, if you have it?

en effet, les extraits de l'aftershow à Paris "tournent" trop lentement (c'est à cause du décalage entre la fréquence d'échantillonage originale et celle de l'encodage).
Pour y remédier, ce n'est pas trop compliqué.

Il suffit d'editer le morceau avec Wavepad par exemple et appliquer un "pitch change" à +110% ... le tour est joué, le tempo original est retrouvé ...

For english people in this house,
to recover the original pitch of the 6-7 tracks, simply edit them with Wavepad (egg.) and apply a +110% pitch change ... that's it.
