Notes from the original taper:
Rainbow backed up Cheap Trick at this one. No I did not record Cheap Trick. This was one of two shows I did with a Shure snow cone ball dynamic microphone. It did a GREAT job. This was also the only time the Amphitheater set up chairs on the main floor and made it general addmission. Remember the hours in line and then the doors opening and running as fast as you can to grab that chair up close. They do not do that anymore. Cozy came out great on this tape (may he R.I.P). Very enjoyable listen here.

The show was a shorter 60 minute set supporting Cheap Trick ; Max Webster ( remember them?) were also on the bill.
The truncated set left out normal set tracks 'Catch the Rainbow' and '16th century Greensleeves'.
Check out the 'Live in Munich' double CD or DVD for a superb eaxample of the full set of the time!
