ROGER WATERS - Complete KAOS on the road - 1987 - Guitars101

The reconstruction of a complete "Radio KAOS" concert from Roger Waters and the Bleeding Heart Band back in 1987.
The main source I used was the famous Quebec broadcast whose quality is outstanding. But only half the show was broadcast.
Another show from the Empire Pool was also broadcast, again not in its entirety, but the songs were different than the Quebec ones. Sound was also of inferior quality, which is strange considering it was an FM broadcast.

With these 2 sources I had an almost complete concert, only 3 songs were missing.

To complete the show as it was conceived by Roger Waters, I had to use an audience recording, with the best quality I could find. All the chatting, speeches and fake advertising which were not broadcast were also added between songs, taken from this audience source.

So this is a kind of "frankenshow", reconstructed using 3 different sources. But it is the only opportunity you will have to listen to a complete RADIO KAOS show with the best quality recordings available.

Purists will be horrified by this project, but I don't care. At last I have a complete show that I can actually *listen* to and enjoy. Not a bunch of bootlegs CDR I would store and never listen to...

Concerning the concert itself :
I think the Radio KAOS concept was a bit weird on the album, and it certainly was Roger Waters' weakest. But it did work very well in concert ! The songs from the album are much better live than on the record. The selection of songs from the Pink Floyd era is perfect IMO, the fake interludes are funny... It looks like the band is having fun, and I really wished I could attend one of the concerts (which were sadly few, because of poor ticket sales, which is a shame !)

It never ceases to amaze me, the loving attention that fans invest into boots - often surpassing anything official. What we have in Hemix is one of those loving fans, and for that Thank You! This looks like manna from heaven for any Roger Waters fan...........excellent
