Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band Multi-tracks????

Someone I know told me he had heard a friend of a friend of his had a bootleg copy of the individual tracks for Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Has anyone ever heard of this?

Just curious....I would surely dig having something like that in my collection....though it would most likely be a maximum of 8 tracks, as they would record on 4 tracks, then mix them down to 2 on another 4-track machine, and then record 2 more tracks.

That'd be kickass...if by individual tracks you mean things like the original masters.

Yes, a friend of mine has them. He is an independant producer with lotsa credits, and a Beatles fan. I have been meaning to get them from him, but have not had the time.

If I get them soon, I will post them.

the PurpleChick Deluxe Pepper set, disc 6 specifically, that has solo'd tracks from the orig multitrack. the link is dead at yourmothershouldknow03 blogspot but thats the record you're looking for.

sound = absolutely amazing.

Quote:
DISC SIX

Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band
1: Applause and crowd noise
2: Backing track
3: Lead and backing vocals
4: Lead guitar and brass

With A Little Help From My Friends
5: Percussion, bass guitar, guitar
6: Backing track
7: Lead and backing vocals, organ
8: Backing vocals, guitar

She’s Leaving Home
9: Strings #1
10: Strings #2
11: Lead and backing vocals
12: Harmony and backing vocals

A Day In The Life
13: Piano and lead vocals
14: Guitar and tambourine
15: Jangle piano, orchestra
16: Bass guitar and drums

the Loveology 10-disc set offers something vaguely similar, in that its a breakdown(?) of the 5.1 mix Love tracks into seperate discs, so one can hear individual parts that were mixed to different channels (say, just rear L, or front R, etc) on each disc.

it can be found at yourmothershouldknow03 dot blogspot dot com.

Quote:
Disc 1: is Isolated Center Channel from 5.1 Surround Mix
Disc 2: Front-Left Front-Right Stereo pair
Disc 3: Rear Speaker Extractions
Disc 4: Isolated LFE Channel from Surround Mix
Boosted by 9 DB'S so it can be heard better
Some of the LFE Channels are empty, they were included for the sake of completeness
Disc 5: Front Center Stuff that is common to both FL and FR, isolated on it's own track
Disc 6: Front left stuff isolated. In other words, the FL Channel minus the material common to both FR and FL
Disc 7: Front right stuff isolated. In other words, the FR channel minus the material common to both FR and FL.
Disc 8: Rear center stuff that is common to both SL and SR,
Isolated on it's own track, For example Paul's backing vocal, and George's rhythm guitar
on Come Together.
Disc 9: Rear Left stuff isolated. in other words, the SL channel minus the other material common to both SL and SR.
Disc 10: Rear right isolated. In other words, the SR channel minus the other material common to both SL and SR.
its quite a good set.

once i get to 10+ posts here, i can link things directly.

Just wannna say these multi-tracks are superb! Was wondering are these the only tracks available in this form as I it would be cool to have the whole album. I'm especially interested in the Sgt Peppers (Reprise) track.

Reprise would be awesome.

havent seen any other stuff of this sorts, meaning from Pepper, out yet. however, after running across Queen multitracks (BoRap and Killer Queen, in their entireties) and Marvin Gaye (Aint No Mountain...) as well, i'm sorta thinking that there may be a 'new wave' of bootleggery coming round the mountain.

it;d make sense that as a generation who has grown up with mp3/porta-digi recorders/et al becomes the incoming workforce in studios/tape libraries/etc, that there'd be a percentage of those folks who;d see the myriad benefits to humanity of having access to multitracks of Rubber Soul & Revolver, DSOTM, Aja, whatever.

as a holdover for the Pepper stuff, the Loveology set offers up oodles and oodles of similar stuff. while not solo'd tracks per se, the extreme seperation allowed by the 5.1 mix (from which the Loveology tracks are extracted) resulted in some pretty solo'd stuff. essentially, its tracks and tracks of just guitar, or just vox, or tambourine & horns, whatever. imho, its essential material, at least until the actual multis for the material becomes available.

fingers crossed/
