Star Track Profiles Steve Perry June 1985

Hi all

I have -- in less than perfect condition -- a cassette tape with Star Track Profiles Steve Perry, a Westwood One Radio Network broadcast. The date and time I have it playing on my local radio station was June 2, 1985 at 7:00 PM EDT. The radio station it was played on was CK-101 101.1 MHz FM WCKS Cape Canaveral/Cocoa Beach, Florida which no longer exists as that station at that address.

Does this recording already exist out there in better form or should I convert this and upload it? ...

Originally I offered to make two copies - one unaltered and one equalized.

I decided not to equalize it since it sounded okay as is. But I think if someone wants to adjust it.

I don't know of this one Ken, but would surely love to hear it. I have a feeling all the other regular Journey/Steve fans on here would love to hear it too.

And I left out that this was a Westwood One Radio Network broadcast. I will transfer it today if I can and post it by tonight. Along with more details such as the name of the host. I am glad it still plays.

I could say that many times over for the wonderful things you and others have uploaded here.

I go through my mind and I am trying to think did I record some more Journey out there. And I hope I did but I have the feeling the interview I am thinking of was on a day I did not have tape or even the recorder. Which is why I must check those old tapes in my closet.

So thanks to you and all the other G101's here for all the Journey and Steve Perry stuff.

So glad you liked it. And the great thing about this one is that it is not just the same interviews repackaged from something else we have heard such as the Frontiers and Beyond VHS tape from years ago. I loved Journey - Behind The Music but some of that came from Frontiers and Beyond and some of that came from the CBS Television Show Journey - Raised On Radio. Which is great since it shows things I recognize. But things I do not recognize are more special and more rare. So I am happy to share this with you and the other G101's as a thanks for all the special and rare things you have shared with the community here.

So thanks really go to you and to our gracious hosts for all this wonderful music and interview content.
