Hey itsjustme - have you got a copy of "Memphis Blues Again, April 30, 1974"?

I could be wrong but I am pretty darn sure that Jeff Porcaro played on all those tracks. I thought he was brought in from Sonny and Cher's group for the '74 tour and he went on to play on the studio albums Prezel Logic and Katy Lied.

To srcstcbstrd: I didn't see a copy of this on IJM's blog:

http://qualityboots.blogspot.com/search?q=steely+dan

Nargothebort's used to have it and a ton of other good stuff as well but I can't seem to find his latest blog. He has been switching around alot...

I'll see if I can find a better source out there for it before I upload it from CD (which was burned from MP3). The way I understand it is if you burn an MP3 to CD and then re-upload that CD, you get an inferior version...so there's that...but if you really want it that way until you find a better copy, I can hook you up.

First give me a day or so to see if I can find a better version of it out there in blog-land. Maybe some kind soul will read this and come to your rescue...

From the official site, Jeff Porcaro was the drummer on the "final touring configuration" of the '74 tour, although in 1973 the band toured in "various configurations". I wonder if the drummer is introduced by the band during the show?....hmmm.
