Yes Sir. That is indeed "John The Gardener". The photograph dates from 1970 at a big estate called Brookfield House in Elstead, Surrey in England. It's a home that Peter Sellars owned and sold to Ringo Starr, then Ringo Starr sold it to Stephen Stills. through all of those owners, "John The Gardener" was there taking care of the huge gardens, ponds, and groves of birch trees. John The Gardener would tell Stephen stories about how "When Mr. Sellars was here" this would happen and that would happen, so Stephen wrote a song called "In Johnny's Garden," which is on the Manassas album. Peter Sellars patterned his character Chauncey The Gardener in the film Being There after John The Gardener, apparently they were very close and was an amazing person. Beautiful. Sorry no photograph of Brookfield...perhaps one day I will make the pilgrimage to the sacred place. Skotsman

Just a big thank you to bizarreguitarman for this post - like Skotsman I was there too and was hoping to get a copy of the gig. Mission completed and it ain't disappointing.
I had a problem with Daylight Again/Find the Cost of Freedom in that it wouldn't extract on the first DL - however, all sorted for the second DL and well worth it!
Many thanks once again.

what the heck does it mean when trader's helper tells you 'file is truncated (4 of 13912 frames are missing)'?
huh??
consistently 4 'missing frames' through each of all 18 songs...winRAR had a bunch of '!' errors too, but files did come up.
heck, i'll see if they play.
this sounds like a wonderful show in any event.
thanks!!

truncated, whatever...it sounds fine, though i've got to play it pretty loud to hear stills' guitarwork..and then someone yells or claps (at the mike) and scares the s**t outta me! yikes!
it's like the shepherd's bush patti smith show i found somewhere...likely from the same table.
but SO nice to hear stills in such great voice (98% of the time anyway) and i've always wondered whatever had happened to joe vitale.
i saw him once with joe walsh and then fronting his own killer band on a show second billed to boc. incredible.
fwiw, is the paradiso show posted elsewhere here much of an improvement over this one?
again, thanks SO much.
