Stereo Total - Rare Songs and B Sides + Super Hits

This selection features rare, lost, unreleased and forgotten tracks. Some of the songs were originally on 7" or others on samplers. But all of them - except "Bad News from the stars" - are not available any more.

1. In/out
Taken from the 7" "The great Rock'n'Roll Single", Sheep Records 1997. Françoise Cactus and Brezel Göring are singing, all instruments played by Brezel.

2. Prends moi (Take me)
Recorded in 1996, this song appeared on the Blurr-Fanzine-Sampler. Françoise is singing and playing the drums, Brezel is on guitar.

3. Carte postale
This song was originally released on a Tchech 7", which was a bonus gift of the first edition of the Vinyl-Version of "Monokini", recorded in 1995.
Françoise singing and drums, Lesley Campbell guitar and choir, Iznogood bass, Brezel guitar.
The song is about Françoise sending a postcard to her friends at home, telling them how well she's entertaining herself: I play, I cheat, I win...

4. Ex fan des 60ties
This was the flip-side of the same 7", recorded in 1996. Françoise vocals, Brezel organ and synthesizer.
This is a song about dead rockstars.

5. Les enfants font des enfants
This is a coverversion of a song from the band Dackelblut and it was released on a Dackelblut-7" in Japan.
Françoise vocals, Brezel organ and synthesizer. This song is about children having children, which will live the same depressing life as them.

6. A la sortie du lycée
From the 7" "Miau Miau", Little Teddy 1996. Françoise vocals and drums, Lesley Campbell guitar, Iznogood bass, Brezel guitar and synthesizer.
This is a song about a home for pensioners, that is built next to a school. The girl in the song gets molested by old daddies

7. Avec ma valise
Taken from the first Stereo Total-release, the "ALLO J'ECOUTE" 7", which came out in 1995 on Desert Records. Fançoise vocals and drums, Lesley Campbell guitar, Brezel guitar, synthesizer and vocals.
I'm here in the middle of this crossing, and I don't know where to go. Leaving was already difficult, but arriving is even worse...

8. Bad News from the stars
This song appears on the Brezel Göring-Solo-record and it features Françoise Cactus vocals. Music by Brezel Göring. Gagarin Records 2002.

9. Die Wäscheklammern
This reading of the Françoise Cactus book "Abenteuer einer Provinzblume" was produced for the literature-CD Mood Poetry in 2000. The music was played by Brezel Göring.
This story is about some teenagers playing sado-maso-poker.

10. Party Anticonformiste
This is a remix of a title from the album "Jukebox Alarm", it features Ogar Grafe as a vocalist. The song appeared on a split 7" with the Japanese band Yukari Fresh, who toured with Stereo Total in Japan. Bungalow 1997.
This song is about disco-music. On the cover of this 7" were the lyrics made as a collage out of writings on other records, like: Disc charge, Non Stop, You should be dancing...

11. Schön von unten
This is a remix from Andreas Dorau, Michel and DJ It. It was released in 1997 on a 12".

12. The other side of you
This remix appeared on the same 12". It is sung by Laila France and the music was produced by Momus.

13. Megaflittchen
This song was produced by Brezel Göring for the animationmovie "Megaflittchen" by Sabina Maria van der Linden. It was released on the sampler "Psychoscifipoppia" by Gagarin Records in 1999.
