The Guess Who - 1972-11-20 - Budokan, Japan

The Guess Who
Budokan, Japan
November 20th 1972

Average Audience recording
Mp3 @ 192kps
Artwork Included

Ok, here is a show from a great and underrated '70's band (and features one of the great rock 'n roll vocalists of all time, Burton Cummings). Although this is only a so-so recording, this is the best bootleg of a full show I could find from this period (The Guess Who at their prime). If anyone has other (better?) Guess Who shows, please post them (or at least let me know), I'd love to hear them. For now though, enjoy this one.

Not prime time GW but a good sounding radio show.

Thanks, smcsh,
Yes, I already have the Electric Ladyland show, and it is the best sounding GW boot I've heard. However, it is from the end of the group's career, after guitarists Winter and McDougall left, and the band was moving in a different direction. Still very good, mind you, I like it a lot, but they (purposely, I think) don't play any of the classic GW songs, focusing almost entirely on newer material and their newer (albeit short-lived) sound and style. I was planning on posting this one on my blog. Still well-worth having and listenining to, but not classic GW. Thanks for your interest and help.

Thanks for the new to me Guess Who show. HUGE fan of the band. The second file is showing with a message "the file you are trying to access is temporarily unavailable."

The Guess Who, 1970-8-26, Washington, DC

Another good Guess who boot (although only average audience recording quality) is also available elsewhere in this forum. This is a show from shortly after Randy Bachman left, featuring the new dual guitars of Kurt Winter and Greg Leskiw (and, of course the fantastic vocals of Burton Cummings), on the Share The Land Tour. Worth Checking out. Here is the forum link:
