blues jam

BEG - 0:59 -> satchmo72
1:00 - 1:55 -> elecjoy
1:56 - 2:50 -> Naifuzan
2:51 - 3:46 -> Stiglar
3:46 - 4:41 -> slob
4:41 - END -> me

Let me know how the mix is. I tried to find that balance between the lead and the BT volumes so it would sound like a real band. I also tried to have the different people appear from different angles like they would if you were listening to a bunch of people first hand; this also made transitions better I think and I didn't need to do any fading. I also got it as loud as I thought possible without needing to compress peaks because I don't know the first thing about that...

Hopefully everyone's part is where it should be. I ran into trouble with the method I was using to convert into my software but I found another way and I 'think' it worked this time.

I really like how it turned out myself. Awesome mixture of styles. Might have been nicer had someone gotten the important end part besides me but I think that after a bunch of takes and some editing it sounds pretty cool.

This did turn out pretty great. I love the transitions between different players. And the fact that we got a minute each to solo was great.
Lots of different styles as well, wich makes this one interesting the whole way.
Thanks alot to nroberts for putting this together! Great job on the mix!

Thanks.

What happened is I was originally using my mp3 player to pipe into my recorder. Then I decided it would be better just to create wav files and import them. I believe the whole issue may have been caused by the sync rate of the bt because this is the first time I have run into problems like this. I found out the bt was odd when I tried to import it after conversion and it complained about mismatched rates. Turns out the rate of the BT was 320000 so I forced it into 44100 when I turned it into a wav and then everything started fitting better.

Anyway, when you use state-of-the-art software on state-of-the-art hardware you run into problems that normal people don't run into. I haven't upgraded some of my shit in a while either so... What I was doing is kind of stupid too; I should have been doing it the way I finally did all along. But now I know...

Now the question is what happens if we have eric put this in the radio. I can't leave the attachment indefinately or I won't be able to play anymore; it's using up more than 1/2 my limit.

In a couple of days I may see if I can improve the mix. As it is I have already heard it too many times to be able to judge well anymore; need to let my ear get fresh again.

So, who is doing the next one?
