Great good old rocking jam guys, very enjoyable to be apart of and its nice to have a little wait before the final mix comes out.

0:00 - 0:28 Axe2Grind - we'll skip that LOL....

0:28 - 0:59 Satchmo72 - really nice classic rock tasteful playing, love the tone as well. Fitted very well with the backing and the playing was more in line with the classic rock theme.

0:59 - 1:22 Pranav - Great main melody and the midway run was very nice. Your tone is great, being happy with your own tone is important though so if you're not then experiment, but very good to my ears bro.

1:22 - 1:53 Khel - Well I think you have every shred technique covered very well, loved the sweeps and your tone is real nice, I'm sure you don't have any frets left after that LOL. burning bro.

1:53 - 2:24 Elecjoy - Si, I think you always leave people speechless with your playing, me for one. Just awesome ability with great melody and tone, loved the harmony bits thrown in, that trusty tone of yours is great. Great pro stuff as always Si.

2:24 - 2:55 RJfoster - I really really liked your tone, cleaner singing voice which is one of my fav types of tone.Playing was great, fitting with the classic rock theme with plenty of tastful licks and bends. Very nice indeed.

2:55 - 3:18 Scalemaster - Trem action was great, added a different flavour to the jam, very controlled, your take really had to be made up of ending the jam and was a great way to end and gave it a more live feel.

Well guys, was a pleasure being a part of this, awesome playing by all and thanks to Si for arranging the jam, the bang on mix job and providing all the fun. Cheers .....

Edit : Thanks for the comments on my take guys, really appreciate it....

I was really looking forward to hearing this. I knew when I heard the BT that this one would be out of my league to participate in. But man, it was worth the wait to listen to. Everyones contributions sound so great together. Thanks for keeping these jams alive EJ. It's definitely my favorite part of this forum these days.

0:00 - 0:28 Axe2Grind - Fantastic intro! Those notes you play about 9 seconds into it were awesome. How did you do that?.

0:28 - 0:59 Satchmo72 - Nice fuzz tone and killer chops man.

0:59 - 1:22 Pranav - You have some nice signature bends. Very cool runs mixed in. Your contribution was worth the wait.

1:22 - 1:53 Khel - Sweep master with perfect timing and nice tone.

1:53 - 2:24 Elecjoy - You are in a class of your own here. I'm kinda speechless.

2:24 - 2:55 RJfoster - I dig the blues rock sound of your phrasing. And it followed EJs nicely. Excellent work!

2:55 - 3:18 Scalemaster - Way to go ending this jam with some awesome whammy work. Perfect!

Jam

Cool!

Thanks for the comments guys, nice to see this jam getting such a great response!

0:00 - 0:28 Axe2Grind

J, great intro to this jam I really dig your aggressive picking, and the harmony lines were amazing! I loved it when you added the third harmony line in. I nearly re-recorded mine after hearing yours LOL! If I wasn't so f**king lazy I might well have too!

0:28 - 0:59 Satchmo72

Excellent classic rock playing, nice tone too which added to the vibe. Loved the pentatonic lick you cycle at 0:38 -0:41!

0:59 - 1:22 Pranav

Great use of call and answer phrasing (and that cool legato phrase), a really different take to everyone else. I agree with Axe; being happy with your tone can mean literaly playing or not playing. I worked with a guy who wanted to change my tone completely and I couldn't play at all LOL. Took me hours to get over it!

1:22 - 1:53 Khel

Excellent timing and use of speed, you sounded like you were playing cause your life depended on it! Great stuff and a challenge to follow.

2:24 - 2:55 RJfoster

More solid rock playing, I have records in my collection that I swear you've played on!

2:55 - 3:18 Scalemaster

Nice way to end the jam with some EVH inspired crazyness... again a good contrat to the other stylers hear, and that's what I love the most about these jams!

Rock on fellas, this was great to be a part of!

Cheers Si.

Hey everyone!
Well i must say that this jam turned out to be quite a good one! Everyone did a great job on their solos - I enjoyed listening to them all. The best thing about these jams is the variety of styles that each player brings to the mix. It never fails to amaze me because after a jam is done you hear other peoples takes on the same bit of music you worked on, and many times I end up hearing something that makes me say to myself "Damn! That was sweet! Wish I had thought of that!" LOL

It's been quite a while since I have participated in one of these, so it was refreshing to get back in "the mix" so to speak. Maybe if I have some free time I will host a jam myself in the near future.

Special KUDOS go out to Satchmo72 tho - I have known him in real life now for quite a while - he lives just a few miles from me - and I know how hard he has been working on his chops. In this jam it is clearly evident to me he has come light years in the last few months. So KEEP UP THE HARD WORK MAN! ITS PAYING OFF!!!!! Oh and brerak that new Ibanez in real good ok?

I'm Outty!

Rj

Wow

Thanks for the great comments guys!! I love doing these things. It is neat to to hear how everyone looks at the same piece of music.

Thanks Rj!!! That really means alot to me!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm almost starting to feel like a guitarist. It's like each time I come back to guitar, I get better. Now I just have to make sure I never leave. I'm getting psyched about that GC competition too and although I realistically dont think I'll win, since your competing at the same store, I am not as afraid to get up there.

The second thing that keeps me coming back to guitar is the comraderie that develops, as bad of rep as guitarists get, there are a ton of good people out there willing to help you get better. You also get a chance to meet people you would have never met before.

Look forward to some jams here in the near future!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amen to that Satch! For me, if these jams didn't exist I would have no real reason or motivation to play... after my band died I didn't play for months and I still find it hard to just sit in a room and play to my neighbours (they love it LOL). The Jam room has become my musical outlet and I would be fucked without it LOL.

Tomorrow I'll post a new jam.

Cheers Si.
