NeoClassical Jam Completed

Here we go then.... here's the run down of who took part :

Slot 1 - 00:00 to 00:38 GGuru777
Slot 2 - 00:38 to 01:16 Rig
Slot 3 - 01:16 to 01:54 Prana
Slot 4 - 01:54 to 02:46 Axe2Grind (Keyboard)
Slot 5 - 02:46 to End Axe2Grind (Guitar)

I'm really pleased with this, it was my first jam that I've organised and mixed and it was great fun. So thanks to all who took part. The jam BT itself was let's say on the boring side so I tried to spice things up a bit.

GuitarGuru777 - Fantasic intro and really enjoyed your take throughout and the harmony runs, solid playing which was well thought out and structured. great job dude

Rig - Another great take, loved the harmonies and when you got into the solo, it was very well played with some nice note choices and phrasing.Loved your tone, really fitted well.

Prana - Nice take, some good harmonic minor riffs which went well over this style of backing, Your tone sounded very Santanaish, v.cool, some nice runs in there, Keep up the jamming.

Sorry for my guitar attempt, my guitar sounds aweful as I decided to alter the bridge over the weekend and successfully murdered my axe, it now needs a complete setup (Hence, playing keys for the time being)

Thanks guys for your time and effort, great fun and hopefully next time I'll find a better BT or compose my own...

Well, with GuitarGuru's, I had to do some slicing of his take cause there was a bit before the track started but I thought I got his one right. With prana's, he recorded the whole song with his take and muted the backing so I just had to overlay his over the top, with yours I did the same as you recorded part of the backing and your take with no backing, the beginning of the BT on your take match exact....Rig you did'nt post me your take with the backing behind it so I did'nt know what it should sound like, only guitar guru did that so I was able to hear what it should sound like. If anyone wants to resend there's to me, I'll redo it, make sure that the whole song as is gets rendered along with your take but mute the backing, that way its a no brainer when adding the takes together...

No worries mate....I still think it sounded pretty cool all in all and its all a good learning experience. Its still a lot easier getting your take done and then sending it to somebody else to mix up the jam.

I can well imagine mate. I may post some kind of jam myself in a day or to, just to have a go. It'd be cool if you got in on it, your playing is well tasty. Guitar and keys...

Cool, definately be in on that jam.....I'm getting rid of my Ibanez in the next day or two (if it sells on Ebay) and getting a Fender Strat so will be without a working axe for a few days but sounds fun. i think I'll stick to doing jams just on the guitar (unless anybody specfically asks for a keys solo - it is a guitar forum after all !)....

Cheers bud.
