Rock Fusion Jam Complete!!!! - Guitars101

Here's the Rock Fusion 101 jam. The backing threw up all sorts of stylistic possibilities and that is reflected in the submissions from all who participated... I love the mix of playing here.

Dannyboy went with gonzo - relentless shred, Dutch chipped in with Lynch hard rock crunch and VH oozed out some smokin wah drenched blues rock. I tried to fit in the middle and allowed myslef lots of awkward 'do they fit?' notes and just the one lick of doom LOL!

This rocks! Big thanks to all, especially for getting the whole thing done in 2 days!

right on dude . that monster lick you threw in really made my part seem more fitting . although you totally owned my attempts at tapping with that lick you git

Whoo, great stuff guys. Super mix, and great playing.

Elecjoy, very cool sounding start, "out" sounding without being out, loved it.

Dannyboy, great tone there, and the arps and taps worked for me, you shouldn't have worried.

Dutch, nice playing from you, like that sort of polyrythmn stuff around 2:40

VHFAN, Loved the way, great ending to a great jam.

DB, Yeah, I threw that 5\6 note per string tapping thingy lick in as a bit of fun hehe...must admit though, I'm not much of a shredder.

Ever since I saw the post go up, i've been waiting on this( and only two days, blazing!!) I could go on and on about all the great stuff from each of ya, but i'll just say, your all some of the best around here, so I expected nothing less than stunning, and I was'nt dissapointed!!!

Great to have you on board mate, I really enjoyed your solo... and not so shy on the tapping licks yourself I notice! I'll certainly see what happens to the computer when I insert a slice of cake in the DVD drive... might try that on my brothers pc though.

I'd love to see Danny's part written out - 20 pages I reckon LOL!

I really enjoyed this and everyone played very well. But the biggest revelation was Dannyboy. A proper drink spilling moment. Dan, My dry cleaning bill is on its way

Right on. Jam sounds great aside from my part...I was attempting to get a slow funky groove going.

EJ that's some freaky twisted stuff man, DB yours was more straight than I expected, very nice, loved the way you came in.....tapping was pretty fluid. Mr. Heineken....much less verb than you normally use.....loved it...starting to get freaky again...I like all those pings near the end. All the tones were extremely thick.....really nice all around.

I enjoyed taking part in the fastest turn-around jam ever!

And the mix was perfect also!

you know my part written out wouldnt be hard ... but it probably would take up alot of space ... not difficult though .. just sounds a bit tricky maybe

... then again ... maybe it is tricky ? ... but since im used to it i find it easy ... who knows ... probs is kinda easy though

Pretty cool fellas !

Certainly a nice funky backing to play over ! i particularly enjoyed elec joys opening part had some really out there notes and had that cool slightly laid back almost swing jazz rhythm/feel that alot of fusion guitarists use ..

but all were top notch ! well done !

definately gonna be jamming on this one as well !

Thanks Stig, I dedcided to try something different to what I'd normally do... I might not have gone with it, but everyone finished up their parts so quick I just thought "fuck it" lol.

I've just found another nice BT I might be posting up for a jam, I'll see how much time I have free this WE.
