Another Poem : Love Is A Flame

What can I say? I lost a girl really close to me. She dumped me a few weeks ago. And I feel like shit, I think thats an understatement. But oh well pain and misery. Great reason to write,eh? I hope you like it.. I think my Love/Fire analogy is perty good!



Love Is A Flame

Love is a flame,
it burns you when it gets to hot,
but can be so soothing when your alone,
so helpful when your afraid and lonely,
it can hurt you if you try to use it too much,
it burns you when it gets too hot,


You learn how to control you desire,
your wants and you needs,
and compincate for the others needs,
you try to make it all alright,
but the flame just burns brighter,
the flam burns even hotter,

you want to try and give it up,
but you know you can't give it up,
because this is what you truely want,
what you truely need,
you need this to strive in life,
and in your daily acitivites,

I knew a time in my life,
when I had a flame that burned so bright,
it burned so hot everynight,
it used to sit on the table next-time,
it used to give me strength when I was sad,

it'd give me sanity,
when I knew that I had a lost my mind,
and was slowly driving myself insane,
I had given it a name,
once upon a time,
the name I gave it was your name,
the name I called out in my darkest hour,
your name,

I carry the love I had for you,
it burdens me now,
like an addiction I can't handle anymore,
the more I think about you,
the more I love you,
the more I do that,

makes the addiction even worse,
without you I'm so self-destructive,
without you I fall so far,
I fall so fast,
without you I can't survive,

This flame I will keep always,
and it shall not burn out and fade away,
like our love did a long time ago,
it shall burn forever,
like my passion,

This flame is the reason I stride,
this flame is the reason I survive,
this flame is the love I once had,
this flame is the hope I have,
The hope that I can survive without you,
the hope that my self-destructive forces won't take me over,
