Cities Of Sand
Cities Of Sand
6-12-02
Keith Adams
The architects drew
The blueprints as planned
The scale they all knew
Was the size of a hand
Inspector approved
Engineered to withstand
The clenching of fists
That ravaged the land
The last parapet
And a twenty piece band
Men looking virile
Womens skin tanned
Childrens kites flew
Ceramonies were grand
Muscles were flexed
And eyelashes fanned
Your own little world
With you in command
Until the wind blew
On the city of sand
City of sand
And tumbling walls
Return to the Earth
As every grain falls
