Well, a few days ago, a 17 year old boy was gunned down by my street over drugs. I didn't know him, but one of my friends is best friends with the guys brother. So after talking to her tonight, and getting a taste of what she's going through, I sat down and put some thought into this one. It's inspired by the shooting and the message is to the kid that pulled the trigger, that a trigger will be pointed at him, literally or metaphorically. This song would be kinda slow and first, but then it would just absolutely kick ass. After the
guitar solo it would slow down, then kick right back up. The very last line would be just vocals and drums (floor toms) I want to find some people to record this one ASAP so let me know what you think!
Finger On The Trigger
Someone’s got a gun, pointed at someone’s face
Now someone will disappear, without a trace
He was just a young boy
Now, he’ll always be that way
Now that you pulled the trigger
You accomplished something small
But ran into something bigger
Don’t you pull that trigger
Don’t you pull that trigger
Life is much, much bigger than the bullet in your gun
Take a step back into the law
Look at what you’ve done
There’s somebody whose never gonna make it
Never gonna make it, because of you
You accomplished something small
But ran into something bigger
Should thought about that when you pulled that trigger
Life is much, much bigger than the bullet in your gun
Don’t you pull that trigger
Don’t you pull that trigger
Look what you’ve done now
You’ve changed your life, ended another
How does it feel, to be guilty?
How does it feel?
Guitar Solo
How does it feel?
Someone’s got a gun, pointed at your face
Someone’s got a gun, pointed at your face
Someone’s got a gun, someone’s got a gun
And the bullet’s goin’, right into your face!
Don’t you pull that trigger
Don’t you pull that trigger
Life is much, much bigger than the bullet in your gun
Don’t you pull that trigger
Don’t you pull that trigger
Life is much, much bigger than the bullet in your gun
Don’t walk away
Don’t you walk away
Don’t walk away
Don’t you walk away
Don’t walk away
Don’t you walk away
‘Cause someone’s got a gun with their finger on the trigger…
this is easily the most angry song I've ever written
the beginning is like "Glitter" by
Motley Crue then it goes into like something so heavy, I can't describe it
