For Lucille

I've known this couple for many years now Lucille and Henry. They're a bit older than my folks, and have been family friends for many years. I'd consider them honorary grandparents. Of all the people I've known, they may be the most "in love" couple I've ever met. Sadly, Henry passed away just recently. Seeing what Lucille has been going through inspired these words...

Acting alone, something different

She struggles to succeed

How to start is the challenge faced

Something new to her



Ontop of this, the pain realized

The extra, unexpected

Aside from just her love lost

Picking up his pieces



Fallen hard, stuck in despair

Her health now suffers too

The pain left from such happiness

Let the memories heal her wounds



The glitter and gleams that filled before

Let them bring her courage

The bliss, the love experienced

Let them bloom to faith



Prayers, whispered and wished

On her, now widowed

Bring their many years

To rescue and lend rest

Wig I am sorry about Henry...I bet they were so sweet and cute together...What you did here is just amazingly beautiful,even though it is very emotional,it is also beautiful..The words are very deep and touching to the soul...Henry I know is looking down and seeing what a great person you are...I also think your the best at heart hun...Thank you for sharing such amazing words...

Well, I'm quite humbled by your kind words and feedback to this. I really don't know what to say, but thank you. I tend to put these words together without following up to music, but this one I want to be different. It will probably take a while to get it just right, but I think I will have to stay on top of the effort. Thank you again for such kind words and... "your the best at heart" - right back at ya!
