Pretty funny. You must be young, 'cause you wouldn't make that mistake when the song actually came out - no cellphones.....

I'm 28... I was 2 yrs old when that song came out. I didn't really get into VH until 95 when Balance just came out, so I guess I am young (although I'm almost 30) =p

Isn't it "why'dya leave the keys upon the table"?

Sting's Message in a Bottle
The real lyrics from the start of 2nd verse
A year has passed since I wrote my note
And what I heard (and have sung at gigs)
A year has passed since I rowed my goat
Eeep!

A guitar playing friend of mine swears that one night a guy came up to the band and requested that they play:
"Slow Motion Walter"
They scratched their heads for a while, and none of them could figure out what he was asking for. Of course, he said 'Oh, everybody knows that one', and starts singing to the tune of - get this...

Not a lyric, but funny none the less. My Friend was a DJ at wedding in Wakefield and he was asked by fat lass to play "If you don't know me by now" by "The Bucknalls".
She obviously meant "Mick Hucknall"

Guns N' Roses.... Sweet Child O' Mine
The real lyrics were:
She's got eyes of the bluest skies as if they thought of rain
But I misheard them as:
She's got eyes of the bluest skies as if they've got a brain
