The Evil One
Among the midst of darkness
Comes a man dressed in black
Banished a long time ago
He is back for another attack
He is the fabled one
Cast from the heavens above
A heart that knows only hate
Never learning the gifts of love
He once was an angel
Fallen from the Lord's grace
Dwelling in the land of demons
Trying to seduce the human race
He cares nothing about you
He only wants your soul
But you have freedom to choose
Don't become another to pay the toll
wrapped in the mystery of shadows
it is here he will choose to dwell
reaching forth from the stealth of darkness
words spewing from the mouths of hell
it seems that all I have posted are about love and matters of the heart so with the ghoulish theme of halloween I thought I would jot down a darker tribute to the eerieness that surrounds the mystery of the holiday...

Well you still are in the"love zone" Never learning the gift of love" If it's about the devil, then he did learn from the gifts of love, cause he was originally from heaven. Work at it, and you'll get there.

Well since he fell from heaven due to jealosy then he never truly believed in nor did he know love.
Now, I would like to unveil the mask of what we, as a society would like to think are the realms of love, or lack of it in some cases. Love is an emotion that we all feel that we know and have come to feel at one time or another. I ask was it love that you felt or an emotion that someone has allowed you to feel to satisfy the needs in a particular moment of time. Can one truly love another more than oneself? I feel that it is possible for only an instant in time but some will argue and try to say that this feeling will last a lifetime. In defense to that I say that the human race constantly changes and the needs of the individuals will change with it. For instance, everyone is in search of the perfect equal relationship. To that, I say it is an impossibility. I say that there can be no exact equality in a relationship. It must be a constant fluctuating balance of giving on both parts and also a constant taking on both parts to satisfy the primal needs to take and to receive. Jealousy, the preverbal green-eyed monster, is alive and well in every relationship. It will just be to different extents. You must have this jealousy for one to feel like they have enough self worth that the other wants to hang on to them for what ever reason they might have. But in turn some take this feeling to the end of the spectrum and it then controls their very existence, it will consume them, manifesting into a blinding rage that will engulf their entire inner existence. It will consume them until this feeling called love becomes that of hatred. I will tell you that love and hate are intertwined and are of the same feeling. The person that kills his or her own spouse will say that they did it out of love, blinded by love or in a lover’s rage. But I ask, mustn’t that person have felt a hatred to take the life of one that is or was so dear to them? We are a nation of selfish people only thinking of ourselves, and if a moment arises then we will think of others it is only in the hope of retaining an idea of something that we might receive in retribution for an act in which we have done. That would be the “hero” that one hears of that saves the day, placing his or her own self on the line in hopes that others will commend them after they have done this deed. Now I will reiterate upon this feeling of love. We are a primal being, not indifferent of the animals that share this planet with us. We have primal needs to fulfill. The only difference I can see is that we are supposed to be able to rationalize our thoughts, but to that I say that many often act irrational in the minds of others. What you might feel is a rational thought, such as taking a chance on a feeling that you are sharing with another, others will say that you are acting irrational or that you have lost your mind. I will ask again, what is love? Maybe the real question is what does love mean to you? Is it that feeling of need, to have someone to confide in, one to share one’s life with? One to share life’s most precious moments with? But we all share are lives with everyone. Maybe it is the intimate feelings that we must share to be considered love. We as a nation throw this word love around so easily. I love that song, when in fact you just like listening to it until you feel that another song better conveys how you feel in a certain moment in time. I do agree that there are too many levels of love. For instance, the love one shares for a grandparent must be different than that love shared for the one that you are spending your life with as your partner in life. To that I say that many are unable to attain the love that they have envisioned in their mind and try to certain points to attain that level only to gain a primal feeling at his particular moment in time. I will also say that most people feel feelings of selfishness while doing one of the acts of kindness. Such as one holding the door for someone, do they do it to impress another or do they do it out of respect for the other person. The reason that this level of love that has been envisioned is so hard to attain is due to the way that society dictates that how love is to be perceived. Society dictates that man must act on a primal level and only that level, if man acts indifferent then men as a collective look at him and think he does these things only to attain another of primal satisfaction, or he is looked upon as weak or lesser of a man. Women on the other hand have a different idea of what love is and the surrounding feelings that are included with that feeling. Women look for a prince in shining armor that will make all of their prefabricated childhood dreams come true. Some times it is the prince that can cause the most damage to the heart, because he is on a level that she has placed him upon that she won’t accept that he might be the one to hurt her the most. Love is an emotion that should be placed upon the highest realm but many have chosen to cheapen the word and make it adhere to their own ideas of this illusive wonder of the heart. Love I feel is the truest of emotions but also one of the most elusive. It can cause you to lose all rational thought, and place this obsession to the front of all other matters in one’s life. So I ask what is the difference in the being of falling in love and an obsession? Is there a difference between this two things or are they both the same in that particular instance. Then you must weigh the feelings of infatuation. How can one tell the difference between that of love and that of lust. Both make one act in a way that they are obsessed by the being of another. Both will make a person fight in inner battles of the mind and heart. As you read these words it may set forth an emotional roller coaster within yourself. You may start to wonder about your own fate and the fate of you heart and the envisioned love that has been preset in your mind as to what love is supposed to be. One is taught that one needs love or that person will be alone and miserable for all one one’s existence. Some choose this barren life because it contains less pain than that in which they have felt in a relationship that was to be filled with the notion of love. Love is in some cases a quest, a quest for the perfect life mate. One who can read your mind and do the things you think before you must ask. One to be strong for you yet weakened to a point so that you feel needed. One to fulfill your every need and whim before you know that you seek it. And most of all one that will do these things without you feeling that you must also give the same in this relationship. That there are other parties in the relationship that deserve equality. This refers to the passage written earlier, We are a nation of selfish people only thinking of ourselves, and if a moment arises then we will think of others it is only in the hope of retaining an idea of something that we might receive in retribution for an act that we have done for them. After a lifetime of gaining knowledge about this idea of love you will find that then you are unable to make anyone else know and understand what you have learned. They must find it out for themselves, they must feel the ravages of the heart for themselves. I can not tell you about love I can only make you stop and think and wonder about the amazing attributes that are associated with it.

You are possibly in contention. But love is not a feeling, it is commitment and action. This action causes thoughts and feelings to increase. Love makes you perform, and in the dark times one needs more than feelings to keep somthing going, alive. It's not "self proclaimed" it was voted on. A beautiful poem i forgot to add that, seriously beautiful.
