I ordered my first amp ... a Mustang LT. It's going to take a while to get here because of the shut-down.
My guitar is an inexpensive Starcaster that I've been working on to get set up so that the action is playable.
Any advice on sounds to try?

How do you eliminate that background hum / buzz / hiss from an ampliphier?
I have a Crate v18 tube amp that does this and ruins any attempt at recording I make. I've noticed that turning the reverb all the way down reduces it significantly but it is still there.

What's everybody's opinion on Line 6 gear, particularly amps and effects? I used to use a POD XT that I was bit ishy about but that was years ago and just would like to know if things have got better with their amp modelling etc.
I'm looking for a site, forum where I can find information how the guitarist created his sound for specific songs.
Formerly there I found something like this in the old mag "Guitar for the practicing musician", but unfortunately I never archived these pages.
