Hi guys, I am new here. Just writing to say hi, I hope to learn a lot whilst being on this forum. Also looking for some Malmsteen backing tracks such as Black Star, Icarus' Dream Suite Op. 4, Trilogy Suite Op:5, Crying, Perpetual etc. If anyone could please point me in the right direction I...
Rather than ask your top ten favorites or top 5 or something of that nature , what influenced you to pick up a guitar? Since I only recently (3 years ago) got into rock I didn't know even where to start but one day a buddy was playing Zeppelin songs on the car stereo and I simply got hooked...
I believe I got the pre-rising force demos from here, but I'm posting it again, just in case you missed it. I also have some new demos to share. Enjoy!:thumb:

This is a great show, the sound is a 10/10. Graham got sick so he canceled this show. Yngwie didn't want to disappoint the fans, so he played with the local band "Avril Chorus". He is playing like mad, and is really fast and clean all throughout this. Enjoy! :thumb:
Here's another great malmsteen boot from 1985. This is malmsteen's prime in my opinion. Thanks again to the taper Jerry B. The sound quality is 9/10, and Malmsteen is really playinng at his finest. This is a must have. Enjoy!:thumb:

Here's one from Gota Lejon in Stockholm,Sweden on 5/24/85 with what I think was Yngwie's best version of Rising Force.I think this is a good audience recording considering how old it is.The show is in two files, but will fit one disc if one is so inclined.

Now Your Ships Are Burned (I don't know who the singer is)
Electric Dust (a slight Uli John Roth influence, perhaps...)
The Michael Angelo slugfeast in another thread mentioned a guy called Impellitteri as the fastest, quickest ,cleanest............(yawn) guitar player , so I just had to check him out.
I found the pile of shiit you hear in the...

any pointers much appreciated.
so if it were black star versus Mr Scary
which would you say is the better gtr instrumental and do say why you choose your particular song here.
With me its Mr Scary by a long way , I find it hummable and it grabs my interest in a way that Black Star does not. Ive always been an admirer...
Just feel like giving a nice, simple introduction to finger exercises for those who want to limber up and fly across those strings...
Ex. 1 is based on a major scale constructed in thirds (ascending by seconds, though). It is a classic exercise and can be moved into minor, etc. It can also...
