I need an amp that i can run my podxt into. It needs to be small and at a reasonable price. I play mostly jazz so I need an amp with a good clean sound that also can be used as a speaker for my Podxt. I can mic it if I need to so it doesn't need to be really loud. I have always recorded direct or run straight into a PA so I am not really sure what I should use for an amp. So suggestions please....

I'll second the atomic. Very big bottom end, nice top end, sounds Fantastic! I ordered mine from Sam Ash thinking if I didn't like it, I'd return it. After the first 45 minutes, I figured I would. After re-tweaking my patches, wow!

Howdy, I have the PODxt and I also like the Atomic.

I have the Atomic and a keyboard amp from Behringer called the KX1200 that sounds good too. The two make a great pair. The Atomic is warm and full, while the KX1200 is crisp and clear.

At about $500.00, the Atomic is kinda pricey, IMO, so make sure you get the 30-day return policy. The Behringer was around $200.00.

Just remembered, When I first got the PODxt I used it through a Home Stereo and thought it sounded great.

It would be cool to hook your PODxt, your CD player, and all the other stuff you have into a mixer and run it into a nice Stereo setup with multiple speakers. Or Surround sound!

I am thinking about getting the Atomic Amp. I live in Oklahoma and there are no dealers for them here so I can't go and try one out. So I will have to order one. From what I have read and your comments here it sounds like it would be really good. I agree it is a bit expensive but I am hoping it would be something very versatile that I could use for a long time. Thanks to everyone who has made suggestions. I am still up in the air about it but I am strongly considering the Atomic amp.
