This is a cover of 70s band called Triumvirat, who were sometimes referred to as the German version of Emerson, Lake and Palmer. The original song is performed on keyboards - organ and synthesizers. I transcribed the parts from a midi file to see how it would work with a multiguitar arrangement.

I built this off of a midi file and retained only the drum track, which I fed through a drum machine. I would highly recommend to other guitar players to find song that use keyboards and try to learn what they're playing on the guitar, just to get a different musical perspective. It's a great way to come up with new chord voicings and scales, etc.

Yeah, this wasn't a hit song or even one that probably got much radio play. I believe it's the opening song on a concept album called "Spartacus." They do some great instrumental tracks and the guy on keyboards was a real wizard. Although their bass guitarist played a little bit of acoustic guitar, there isn't hardly any electric guitar on their songs (if any at all). I did like the aggressive nature of this song, balanced with the classical influence in the melodies. There's a couple of other songs on the album I might someday try with a similar electric guitar approach, but for now, thanks for the listens and comments.
