I spent 12 years in the Dallas music scene between 91 and 03. Although Dime and I weren't friends we did travel in alot of the same circles and had alot of mutual friends, like the guys in Drowning Pool (another tragedy). I spoke to Darrell a few times and he was always cool. He would always hang out in the clubs and support local acts. He was a big influence on my playing and he showed that there were still some new twists left in blues-based soloing. I'll miss him.
