-------------------------------------------------
This was the first show in the final USA leg of Elton's long-running "Farewell Yellow Brick Road" tour. This final leg is to be played entirely in large stadiums, and this show was played in the 43,035-seat football stadium Citizens Bank Park in the city of Philadelphia. I was seated way in the nosebleeds, section 419, seat 4.
It was recorded on an iPhone using the internal microphones using the popular "Voice Record Pro" app. Unfortunately the quality isn't as pristine as it could be, but by no means is it unlistenable, or even close to bad.
The show was great. Elton was in wonderful spirits and the audience was very high energy and having a wonderful time! This show has two very notable moments: the first performance of the song "Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters" since 2015, and the first time the song had been played on this tour. Secondly, the song "All The Girls Love Alice" was played for the first time since the tour reopened earlier this year, and so far the ONLY time the song has been played on this leg of the tour. The song was abruptly replaced by "Burn Down The Mission" on the following show of the tour and hasn't been seen since. This is likely the last time the song will have been performed if it doesn't come back, which makes it something very special to have caught!
The original untracked/unedited files are included in the download if anybody would like to take a stab at improving the audio, by all means please do.
Hope you all enjoy the show!
