I've recently been getting into Les Pauls (strange since I've basically been a Strat style man since I started playing). I recently tried out my singers Epiphone Les Paul Custom and it was really good. I've always had issue with the shape (I'm a Strat softy and love my tummy and forearm cuts!!!) and the finished necks, but this one seemed just right.
Above are the models I can get great deals on and look fantastic, so opinions please guys and gals!!!!:icon_thum

Here's mine....it's a LP custom with a limited edition electric blue flame top and EMG's. It's a workhorse....I can't imagine a USA LP being much different....except for the price.

I say the cherry sunburst standard. I would have said the Gold Top, but I thought they came with P90s. If I am wrong, go for the gold :thumb: :thumb:

Hi, I have a Cherry sunburst Epiphone that I've used for about ten years now, it's been an excellent guitar, (Although pretty bashed about now!) I'm also fortunate enough to have a genuine Les paul standard in 'Desert Burst' which is pretty damn good aswell, the Epiphone is now generally in a 'Standby guitar' position, or tuned down for those 'Gunners' moments, but is still an excellent guitar, BUY ONE, you won't be dissapointed!

Flame Maple Top is the way to go matey. Boneyard is a copy of a great guitar and no matter what Joe Perry's name staying in neon or busking in Lyon, it'll always be a copy of...whereas there's not gonna be that much difference in how they put the maple top on...only the thickness I woulda thought. The Dark Angel Pepper might have more infor but a flame is nice!

I love my Epi LP Standard....had it a year now. Notice the black hardware which only came on a few limited models.:icon_cool Wish I had a better photo. The gorgeous finish is hard to appreciate unless you see it in person.
Nice rig. That Epi looks great with black hardware!!:jam:

The Tokai Love Rock models are better guitars than the Epis..... :icon_thum

Tokai are awesome guitars m8
Other than my Zakk Wylde LP custom, I have an 80's Tokai Super edition strat original, and have had this from 16 which is over 20 years now lol.

But saying that, Gibson own Epiphone, so I would have thought they would have full access
to Gibsons technology.
If Epiphone didn't make the best Les Paul copies, then theres something wrong, as I've said Gibson & Epiphone are 1 in the same company.

The Tokai looks just as cool tho :)

stay cool
