Eric Clapton: Budokan Hall 2001 (04 DEC 2001) BIV Remaster
============================================
Eric Clapton
Budokan Hall
Tokyo, Japan
04 DEC 2001
SOURCE: satellite broadcast > 2xDVD with an apparently lossless PCM 16/44 2.0 stream.
BACKGROUND: I had a corresponding SBD audio in lossless FLAC and initially considered remastering the FLAC files in that release. Unfortunately, on frequency analysis, a sharp frequency drop-off was seen at around 15kHz suggesting that those files were not truly lossless. This was not the case with the PCM stream that I extracted from the 2xDVD release from a satellite broadcast capture. For this reason, I decided to remaster using the satellite broadcast source instead.
LINEUP:
Eric Clapton - guitar, vocals
Andy Fairweather Low - guitar, vocals
Nathan East - bass, vocals
David Sancious - keyboards, vocals
Greg Phillinganes - keyboards, vocals
Steve Gadd - drums
Disc 1
01. Key To The Highway
02. Reptile
03. Got You On My Mind
04. Tears In Heaven
05. Layla (acoustic)
06. Bell Bottom Blues
07. Change The World
08. River Of Tears
09. Goin' Down Slow
10. She's Gone
11. I Want A Little Girl
Disc 2
01. Badge
02. Hoochie Coochie Man
03. Five Long Years
04. Cocaine
05. Wonderful Tonight
06. Layla (electric)
07. Sunshine Of Your Love
08. Somewhere Over The Rainbow
AUDIO PROCESSING: The PCM audio was extracted from the 2xDVD source. Files underwent DC offset correction, phase correction, azimuth correction and initial gain setting before proceeding with remastering. The remastering processing chain consisted of Fabfilter Pro-Q4 > Fabfilter Pro-MB > Ozone Imager > Izotope Aurora > UAD Ampex ATR-102 Master Tape > UAD SSL G Bus Compressor > Fabilter Pro-L2. Metadata added. Cover art generated.
NOTES: Immersive and enjoyable.
Never buy or sell!
Support the artist by buying their officially released material.
Enjoy!
