Thanks guys for the comments! I was a little weary about using the old brass bridge but, with the mahogany wood, the thing works pretty well. I also was getting ready to replace the nickle nut with a brass one before I listened to the guitar, but won't do it now. Pretty happy with this guitar, might be a keeper! It's funny because two months ago I was all big on having a tone knob again, but I think I've got that out of my system.

Thanks hellion for the picture of that beautiful baby!!!! I put an SD-EVH in mine. That pup seems to work best with the mahogany. I had that pickup in soft ash, hard ash and alder guitars, but this combination seems to sound the best. Oh, those clips were done on a pod-xt, but I tried it through my 50w marshal last night and its like sweet honey.

Wonderful playing and tone as always Strat78!!

Not that I would suggest you doing so... but have you ever considered performing the ''Neal Schon'' pole-piece mod on the SD-EVH p/up in order to gain some extra highs and ''crispness'' from it?

Trust me it does not need extra crisp or highs, it is the mahogany that makes the sound so warm.
Now that is one cool looking guitar Strat.
Sounds great too!
