Unfortunately I require a step by step tutorial with torrents as I have never delved in. No host, no clue...

Sort of like, how do I convert .rar to playable files, or, what the hell is .shn?, or how can I wipe myself when the shelves have been cleaned out and all the trees are bare?

Quick q, what is the (if any) advantage for seeders or uploaders to torrent over file
factory or wetransfer , mega ? Great work, as always @ EDGE and other uploaders

Potentially faster transfer speeds.
Potentially more anonymous.

one problem though is keeping it seeded. that's the advantage of the cyberlocker sites in that you can find an old link from years ago that will still work.

If you have a windows machine you might have WinRar already. Right click on the .rar file and see if you have options available like "Extract files...", or "Extract here", etc. If not you can download 7-zip (which might be the better option anyway) and do the same thing. I like to download the .rar file into a new folder and use the "Extract here" option.

.shn (shorten) is an older lossless packing tool. Shn kind of fell by the wayside with Flac becoming more popular. If I remember correctly you can download Traders Little Helper which will unpack shn as well as other formats.
