The 3rd appearance was in the 3 o'clock hour Eastern Time. They were pushing "I Believe..." and everyone was saying that it was gonna be a runaway hit. Unfortunately it fizzled. I think that had a lot to do with Mr. S losing interest in recording and he began o feel more comfortable on the road.

Hi Scobeyfan. I notice the link for !st September is from 1988 though the track details that you've listed are from 1989. Not sure which one you intended to post but either way it is a good sounding concert. Thanks again for giving us all something to look forward to every day here!

For those who don't know, it is important to note that this was Mr. S's final appearance @ Cal Neva in Lake Tahoe. He was embroiled in an FBI probe that eventually saw him give up his NV gambling license within 2 months.

I'm was hoping your copy of this historic event was something different but the break between "Please Be Kind" and "Luck Be a Lady" shows us there is only 1 surviving recording of this performance. Oh well. It is historic nonetheless.

Here's a Sunday extra. We all know that on September 6th, 1976 Sinatra reunited Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis on the MDA Telethon. There's lots of video floating around of that reunion and Sinatra and Dean's performance. Sinatra also performed two other songs later on the telethon, "Night And Day" and "Embraceable You". Unfortunately, I only have video of "Night And Day". Again, if anyone has the full performance including "Embraceable You", I'd love to see it. Check out the ugly suit.

Thanks as always! Is it me, or do the shows in this period with Vinny Falcone all have the most interesting set-lists…???? He seems to have been in a real phase of revisiting some of the more interesting songs in his back catalog at this point...
