Discussion:
This recording was the next to last show with Peter Frampton before he fell ill. Gregg was able to play at the Laid back Festival, in Late 2016, for two nights. He was not able to play again. At this time, this appears to be his last recorded "bootleg" concert. Gregg has issues with his IEM, and the show had to be shortened due to time and schedule. I recorded Gregg in 2013 and the Allman Brothers in 2013 as well. This show from a quality standpoint is great. No interference, and 6 sources recorded. The sound is SO clear you can hear the locusts in the background chirping...... I intentially left out the horns feed because it was too strong for the mix. I wanted Gregg's vocals out front with his keyboard and guitar in the back. Let his voice live on forever.

IEM = In-ear monitor

from the Wikipedia page of “In-ear monitor”, here's the 1st paragraph:

In-ear monitors (IEMs) are devices used by musicians, audio engineers, and audiophiles, to listen to music or to hear a personal mix of vocals and stage instrumentation for live performance or recording studio mixing. They are also used by television presenters in order to receive vocal instructions, info, and breaking news announcement from a producer that only the presenter hears. They are often custom fitted for an individual's ears to provide comfort and a high level of noise reduction from ambient surroundings. Their origins as a tool in live music performance can be traced back to the mid 1980s.

Hope that helps!

Thanx, Edge, for the cool DL. Can't wait for it to finish so I can jam Brother Gregg. Cheers!

The sound quality is a solid 10/10. amazingly clear. Gregg's voice falters a lot, you can tell he was struggling every night to bring it for the audience. God rest him well.

My train of thought derailed. There were no survivors.
