my guitarport doesnt seem to like cubase it keeps crashing or locking up etc etc..or if i'm recording i lose the guitar port for some reason in the midle of a take!..anyone got any ideas...yours... getting madder & madder!!...Mac

I don't know anything about it mate but I had a quick look on google and it seems you aren't alone. but they refer to the XTPro using the guitarport software:

But if I deactivate the PodXT audio driver in WinXP device manager, erverything works great over here. Gitarport are still comunicate with PodXT (but you cant play audio-files on the Pod)

So maybe you can disable the guitarport driver the same way? it might work.

I think i figured it out, I believe it's a USB issue.
I connected my PodXTpro via Midi and everything works without a hitch.......

so maybe it is something to do with the way you are connecting?

That happend to me aswell, If you want to record, just try Sonar 4 it works great trust me.

This occasionally happens to me when recording my GuitarPort with Samplitude. I unplug the USB cable on the GuitarPort and reconnect, which usually fixes the problem. Might be worth a try.
