I sat down this morning with the intention of writing a original for the mp3 comp. By the time I finished I checked out the two entries already posted and decided I didn't stand a chance in hell so I thought I would post it here instead.

It is another vocal track. I can't say I am happy with the lyrics because it is a bit too obvious what the song is about, I prefer a little less definition. As usual the singing leave a lot to be desired :lol:

Anyway the backing is something I am very pleased with - created from scratch in software and I really love the bass fills at the end. Drums were done with Native Instruments Battery, Bass is Edirol Super Quartet and the Synth is Absynth 3.

I like it. I'm not a lyrics kind of guy anyway, but the vocals were good. The guitar playing was very good as was the bass. Nice fills at the end there. :thumb:

Loved the guitarparts....loved the semi dirty tone.

Ok so if this isnt good enough to enter in this months competition I can forget about even trying to come up with an entry!
Very good composition and recording. Vocals, guitars everything was great. The only thing I didnt like that much was the "trippy" synth in the background, but that's just a matter of taste and some other people liked it so...

and Naifuzan - thank you for your post mate. and I reckon you are right about the synth. The reason I put it in was because I had new software and wanted to try it - I guess the song didn't really need it. Good call. As to whether I should have put it in the comp, the real reason is I am not happy with it and there are already better entries. I don't mind entering something I am happy with but this one didn't really live up to my expectations. I am glad I finished it. Many thanks for your reply, questions and compliments
