How do I do it? Would I put it in the effects send or recieve input? Or the guitar input? Has anybody else done it? I hooked it up to my solid state combo, and it worked out fine. I just don't know how to run it with a tube amp...

I would go into the effects return/recieve. This way you're bypassing the preamp in the 5150 and only using the poweramp section.

I hooked up my POD to my 5150, and it sounds awesome! I am really shocked how much better the POD sounds running through a good tube amp as opposed to a solid state! :dance:

Sweet! Yeah, I see a big difference. I used to run through a solid-state Peavey amp. I switched to an all tube Traynor and ...what a difference!!:bowdown:

A friend of mine just got a Traynor actually. It's the 80 watt 2x12 tube combo. It sounds really good...

I have hooked my Pod 2.0 directly to the front of my fender twin amp.. which of cousre is an all tube amp too,, and i was impressed too! But what i do is use the amp switch ,, not the air II on it. and i get some killer tones that way!

How are you hooking it up to your amp? If you hook it up through the guitar input, you want to run it on the clean channel, with the eq controls set to "neutral" Usually it is something like mid:10 bass:0 treble:0

or you can run it through your effects return input (which sounds best) It's what I do with my amp, and it sounds really good.

I once did just that with my friend's 5150 amp and ended up going back to running the amp as is. But you certainly can try.
