Before the legendary MUSE "No Nukes" show at Madison Square Garden in September, Jackson Browne and Graham Nash put on a series of three "No More Nukes" concerts in southern California. This is the last night of the three and seems to be an under-circulated show. It's a full set from Jackson keeping the basic structure of the "Running On Empty" tour show but substituting in a couple of new songs to be featured on the 1980 release "Hold Out" as well as a beautiful version of Sydney Carter's "The Crow On The Cradle".

The capture is good, probably from the balcony as it has a touch of distance on it and there is a bit of hiss. Though the mastering process took care of some of it, it is still present during the quieter passages (it's very much improved without damaging the music).

Samples and artwork provided....

As a historical side note on what was going on at the time of the show in San Diego (I'm always interested in the historical context of shows) this is the exact tragic day in San Diego that 16 year old Brenda Ann Spencer shot at the elementary school across the street from her house killing two. When asked by a reporter why she did it, legend has it she said "I Don't Like Mondays..." which became the inspiration for the Boomtown Rats' hit song of the same name.

Hi John, thanks for posting. I love this show because of I’ll Fly Away. FYI, this show is from 1979, not 1978, I have a facsimile of the backstage pass.
