Totally agree with ya Captain......have seen him live three times myself...twice with DT, and on the G3.....he is definitely the most smooth, efficient, and SMOKIN' player out there!!! But Vai is right there with him, in my book!!!!:thumb:Captain_Morgan said::thumb: I agree with you completely. I love his song work and everything. Dream Theater rocks (especially live which I have seen) And his solo stuff is good as well. His performance is smoking on G3, but I think his performance on Train of Thought is the most amazing thing he has done.
Sure but it won't be a petrucci battle lol.verga said:I adore the guy. I completly agree with most of you on almost everything. Like [email protected] i also prefer the Ibanez JP era. "Images and Words" and "Awake" are the BEST Dream Theater albums ever and then Scenes from a Memory. My fav Petrucci is on Liquid Tension Experiment 1 and 2. My fav JP lead tone is on the song FADING FAST from explorers club. People bash him saying he is a machine, but damn, have they ever heard EVE, Fading Fast, his spots on "Purple Rain" from guitar battle, Hells Kitchen, Trial of Tears, Scarred,..... i still havent heard ANYONE on earth who could play the finall solo of Inocence faded. I wrote something on the guitar rack :
