(*) Tape ran out before the end of the show so the last few minutes of the rumble ending are from Nassau Collisium show 11/26/84.

This show was recorded by me and was the very first concert I ever recorded. It was recorded on a large AIWA portible recorder and suffers from "natural" distortion of a VERY LOUD concert and a very small microphone.

The show was general admission for the floor and i was stationed about 5 or 6 "rows" deep in the crowd. I caught a pick from Paul and my friend caught his towel.

Also interesting about this show was that Mark St. John was stationed stage left (Gene's side) the entire show. Since he would make his concer debut in Maryland 2 nights later, perhaps they were getting him stage ready and asking: "so is tonight the night?"

I also taped the next night at Nassau Coliseum, Uniondale, Long Island, NY 11.26.84. The outcome was equally as distorted but the show is more complete. This is an alternate recording to the very good audience recording that already exists from this show.

WRATHCHILD REMASTER 9/28/2016:
After initally recording the tape to WAV, i upgraded my software and got more experienced on experimenting on how to fix the sound. the main objective for this one was to try and reduce the amount or the sound of the distortion on the tape.

Most of the remastering occured using the tools in AVS Audio Editor was the multi-band compression (the cassette recording pre-set) and Noise reduction in Sound Forge. But the idea was to get to sound cleaner. I think i accomplished this.

Also, this is STILL a better recording than the Lossy Version #1 that circulates even WITH the distortion!!!!

Enjoy
