Okay, who is the most famous band or musician you've ever met, and what were the circumstances of that meeting. To start--

Around 1978 (I think) the band I was in, was playing in Salt Lake City. We knew ZZ Top were going to be in town. We decided to drive by the venue just to see the trucks or something, anything to break the boredom. So we pulled up there, and we're just walking around looking at trucks and suddenly these limos pull up with a bunch of people, and out step Billy, Dusty, and Frank, with a big entourage of people behind them. Someone opened the door to the arena, and everyone started filing in, so we just started walking along with them. Got to listen to their sound check, and even got to talk to Billy and Dusty for a short time. Told them to come down to the club we were playing at, but they never did. Billy probably found out they didn't serve decent Mexican food.

Used to chat to Janick Gers back in the old days...he was in a local band. Can't say I know him but met him in a pub in Chiswick about 6 years ago and he remembered the band if not the name!

Used to chat a lot with Micky Moody (ex Whitesnake) as I worked with his Dad and he's a Boro lad like me. Thats about it! :icon_thum

Well, can't say I really "know" many famous people, but I've hung out with and partied with plenty!! I used to work at one of the local rock clubs as a Bouncer back in the early to mid 80's, and the manager of the club was Big John Hart, who had retired from a very cool career as head of security for many name bands. He was head of Maidens security on the "Behind the Iron Curtain" tour( If ya ever see the DVD, he's the big ugly fucker with the Fu Manchu mustache!), as well as personal body guard for Paul Stanley from "KISS", and Billy Idol. We had a local concert venue here in S Florida, and he worked there as head of security, and being a bud of his, I also worked there with him....Well I had the fortune of meeting and hanging out with many of the big bands of that time...... Met all the guy's from Ozzie Osbourne, and the old man himself, when he first came out with his solo career,Ratt, Judas Priest, Van Halen, Bon Jovi,etc..... Hung out and partied with many of them!!!! Like was said......Loved the 80's!!!!....

Met Ted Nugent twice here in Waco after gigs, the guys from Night Ranger, Dangerous Toys, Judas Priest, Tesla, all after Waco concerts, Robert Sweet from Stryper at Austin show, the guys from Pantera in 1990 at a Priest concert in Dallas (Dime and crew were in the audience behind us, Priest was Dime's favorite band.. He said so..R.I.P. Dime!), George Lynch at Austin Dokken concert around 1995 I think. Pat Travers in Waco at a small rock club back in 1991.:icon_cool

Thats about it I think...no personal friends who are famous.

Ok, well i dont know anyone famous persay, but i went to high school where the Kiss army originated at. Terre Haute North High School. I even frequently used the bathroom where one of the original pictures of the army was taken. Think i was the only one in class that acctually knew the signifcance of the school.
