my all time favorite band..seen these guys 3 times live. Just like the file name says,,,,, i recorded this in 4 minutes tops...used this backing and recorded this in time the song length.. mistakes and all included.. no overdubs,, didnt spend alot of time mixing and all either. just wanted to jam one before going to bed tonight and this is what i played using my fender strat and micro cube amp. outro solo is all improvised. even the first solo is to some extent. enjoy my noodlin around and mistakes.:icon_thum

Nice tone and nice playing ... and not a bad choice of song. :bannana_g
thanks alot paper bag. i love zz top's stuff. im gonna start doin more covers of em since they are my favorite band of all time. one of the main reasons i bought this roland micro cube was for the distortion channels seem to fit my classic rock stuff like this to jam to soooo nicely. thanks for listening man.:icon_thum

Hey Scot, very very cool, I am a HUGE ZZTop and myself, I can just see you in your Dr. Dentons, and fuzzy bunny slippers getting in one last jam before bedtime. :D

This was a fav album growing up for me, zz had a way of making these grooves come across every bit as heavy as Sabbath to me, but they were playing over bluesy/boogie grooves instead.
You did an excellent job nailing the feel here. Killer!

Dood! THIS ROX! Sometimes doing a song with no dubs "off the cuff" is the best way to go! You mention the micro cube amp - sounds really good.... Who makes that? I think I have seen one at the music store but not sure.

It´s from Roland. I got the Cube 30, a great practice amp for the doe, and that micro cube seems to hold up on their bigger bros, as you can see by this neat performance Scott has done :thumb:
